Best Global Universities Rankings: U.S. News & World Report has released its 2025–2026 list, evaluating 2,250+ schools in 100+ countries. The rankings measure research performance and global academic reputation.
Top 10 Global Universities Dominated by the U.S. and U.K.
At the top of the overall global list:

Country Rankings: China Leads, India Rising
The U.S. ranked 280 schools, but China took the lead with 397 universities in the global rankings. India had 118, followed by Japan (104) and the U.K. (93).
