‘Doctor Who’ & ‘Harry Potter’ Actor Simon Fisher-Becker Dies at 63
Simon Fisher-Becker, best known for playing Dorium Maldovar in ‘Doctor Who’ and the Fat Friar in ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’, has passed away at 63.
The British actor’s death was announced by his husband on Facebook, though no details about the cause or location were given. Fisher-Becker had a long career in British television, appearing in ‘Doctors,’ ‘Waterside,’ ‘Puppy Love,’ and ‘Getting On’.
Fans remember him fondly for his work in ‘Doctor Who’ during the Matt Smith era and for portraying one of the Hogwarts ghosts in the first ‘Harry Potter’ film.
